STAFF AT GLAPTHORN SCHOOL

We are extremely fortunate in having an enthusiastic and hard working staff, as follows:
Mr Mark Ratchford Began at Glapthorn as Head Teacher in September 2008. He has been teaching in the area for over 15 years, living locally in Oundle.
Mrs Lou Coulthard
Teaches Year Three and Four children in Class Three for two and half days a week . She is an experienced and dynamic teacher aiming to challenge every individual in her care. Mrs Jan Tate Teaches Year Three and Four children in Class three for two and half days a week. Jan previously worked for Northamptonshire's Learning Achievement and School Improvement as an English specialist.
Mrs Shelley Griffiths Has long links with the school as a parent and then as a member of support staff. She began her teaching career with us in September 2004 and teaches Reception children in Class One. She is an outstanding practioner with all the children coming into school and going home with big smiles on their faces. Shelley has A BA Hons in Learning and Teaching from University College Northampton.
Miss Louise Gregory Teaches Year One and Two children in Class Two and began her teaching career at Glapthorn in September 2010 after completing her BA in Primary Education at
Mrs Joanna Sawyer
Has been working as our School Adminstrator and Bursar since January 2004.
All the following Support Staff work for between 15 and 26 hours a week. The very high ratio of support staff to children means we can support all the children fully, ensuring all the children receive the help they need.
Mrs Linda Currall
Works as a Classroom Assistant in Class One.
Mrs Adele Ginn Works as a Designated Support Assistant in Class Two Mrs Jane Walker Works as a Designated Support Assistant in Class Two Mrs Sarah Harrison
Works as aTeaching Assistant for Special Educational Needs. She delivers learning support and intervention programmes across the school. Mrs Harrison is an experienced class teacher and began work at Glapthorn School in September 2011. Mrs Janet Hart Works as a classroom assistant in Class Three.
Mrs Sue Hunt
Is a Teaching Assistant for Literacy. Sue manages the school library and delivers Literacy extension and support sessions for children across the school. She mainly offers support in Class 2. Mrs Sue Hamilton Works mainly as a classroom assistant in Class Two. Mrs Tina Stone Works with us as Cleaner-in-Charge. She also works as a lunchtime supervisor.
